HAWKS FILES – Women's Basketball
Chowan slipped to 4-18 on the season and 4-14 in Conference Carolinas play following their loss to Barton during the week.
Mariah Coker leads the team averaging 11.7 points per game. Coker grabs 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as well.
Demetria Bland averages 8.5 points while Olivia Gaither chips in with 7.2 points per night.
WEATHERING THE STORM
King enters the contest with a 12-12 mark overall and 9-9 in league action. The Tornado has lost their last two contests.
Trinity Lee paces the Tornado with 13.6 points a game. Ali Golden and Kori West are averaging 11.5 and 11.1 points per game. West also averages 8.9 rebounds.
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS – Men's Basketball
Chowan fell to 8-14 on the season and 5-11 in league play despite playing tough in the past five games.
BJ McLaurin has 13 double-doubles this season to lead the Hawks with 16.5 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.
Khalil Ridges (14.1) and Jaylen Dilliard (11.1) are in double-figures scoring this season. Jamal Thomas averages 4.3 assists per game.
STOPPING THE TORNADO
King is 18-6 on the season and 12-4 in league play. The Tornado will look for revenge as the Hawks took the opening game of the series in Murfreesboro.
The Tornado has the nation's leading scorer in Jordan Floyd averaging 31.1 points per game. James Brown (13.3), and Mike Salomon (10.0) also score in double-figures.
