MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse team suffered an 18-2 setback against Barton in Conference Carolinas action on Wednesday afternoon.

Tashana Barnett recorded two goals on the afternoon. Tahvae Burton tallied an assist. Burton would also pick up eight ground balls.
Misten White hauled in six draw controls and caused three turnovers.
Chowan tallied seven total shots in the contest with five on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Barton raced out to an early 3-0 lead. Tashana Barnett put the Hawks on the board eight minutes into the contest to trail 3-1.
The Bulldogs tallied five more goals to lead 8-1 before Tahvae Burton found Tashana Barnett for the goal.
Barton led 10-2 at the half.
Second Half:
Chowan committed 14 turnovers in the second half and only recorded two shots.
Barton went on to score eight goals to initiate the running clock in the second half to secure the win 18-2.
