CU Soccer Travels To Erskine For League Tilt

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Soccer programs head to South Carolina to take on Erskine in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday.

Women's Soccer

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan is still searching for their first win of the season after competing in their first three matches against regionally ranked opponents.  The Hawks are 0-4-1 on the season and 0-1-1 in Conference Carolinas play.

Four different Hawks have scored this season: Sierra Gonzalez, Carolina Lucci, Shannon Park, and Stephanie Quintanilla.  The Hawks dropped a 3-1 decision to Wingate on Wednesday.  Quintanilla scored off a free kick from Gonzalez.

GROUNDING THE FLYING FLEET
Erskine enters the contest with a 2-3-0 overall record and a 1-2-0 record in league play.  The Flying Fleet are coming off a 2-0 loss on the road against Emmanuel on Wednesday.

Devyn Cabral leads Erskine with two goals and an assist.  The Fleet have split time in goal this season allowing 3.0 goals per game.

Men's Soccer

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan dropped to 2-2-0 on the season after a shutout loss to Queens during the week.  Chowan is 1-0-0 on the season in league play taking the victory against Southern Wesleyan.

Harrison Ardron leads the team with three goals on the season.  Sam Hall has netted two goals, while Joury den Boogert and Cristian Fuentes has scored once.

NAVIGATING THE FLEET
Erskine is 2-3-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in league action.  The Fleet had a strong previous week picking up two wins in league play and grabbing a draw on the road against #2 Lander.  Erskine is coming off a loss to Emmanuel during the week.

Jorge Henao and Vincent Stulec pace the team with two goals each.  Alex Pico is allowing 1.73 goals per contest in goal.
