CU Women's Soccer Host Regionally Ranked Braves

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer team is in search of their first win of the young season as the Hawks welcome UNC Pembroke to Hawks Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan enters the contest with a 0-2-0 record after suffering a 2-0 shutout to Conference Carolinas opponent, Limestone, on Saturday.

In the two matches this season, Chowan has yet to find the back of the net against tough opponents with both Lincoln Memorial and Limestone ranked either nationally or regionally.

BRAVING THE BRAVES
UNC Pembroke enters the contest with a 3-1-0 overall record.  The Braves are coming off a tough 2-1 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday.  UNCP is ranked seventh in the most recent Southeast Regional poll.

The Braves have the best goal keeper in the Peach Belt in Gina Ryan posting her 29th career shutout.  Ryan has allowed two goals this season with three shutouts thus far in the season.

Rilee Seering leads the team with two goals on the season.  Alexis Pittman, Kristina Stevenson, and Zion Sellers have each posted one goal.
