MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse team suffered a 19-2 setback against North Greenville in Conference Carolinas action on Tuesday afternoon.

Chowan posted 16 shots with 13 being on frame. Leslie Escobar led the Hawks with six shots and found the back of the net twice.
Lela Knight and Tahvae Burton picked up a team-high four ground balls. Knight and Jasmine Latney controlled three draw controls each.
Shaena Ravenell recorded eight saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
North Greenville jumped out to an early 7-0 lead before the Hawks registered their first shot. Misten White recorded a shot on frame on the free position but was unable to convert. White and Jasmine Latney tallied shots but were denied.
Midway through the half, Leslie Escobar found the back of the net to cut into the deficit, 7-1.
Misten White recorded two more shots on goal and Leslie Escobar recorded a shot before the half as NGU led 13-1.
Second Half:
The pace slowed for most of the half as Leslie Escobar picked up her rebound and scored for the final tally for the Hawks.
The Crusaders pushed the advantage to 19-2 for the final score.

Chowan travels to Gaffney, S.C. to face nationally-ranked Limestone in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday, March 9. Opening draw control is scheduled for 2pm.
