MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Women's Tennis team slipped in a home Conference Carolinas match to Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon.

ON THE COURTS
In Doubles:
Cynthia Carrier and
Arina Karbolina picked up the No.1 doubles position 6-3 over the Lions.
At the No.2 doubles match
Julieta Lecce and
Angelique Gouin fought hard but fell short 6-4 before Emmanuel grabbed the third doubles match by default from the Hawks.
In Singles:
Emmanuel entered singles play with a 1-0 lead over the Hawks.
Cynthia Carrier responded with a 6-1, 3-6, 11-9 No.1 singles victory.
Arina Karbolina fought at the No.2 singles but fell short to her opponent 6-3, 6-0.Â
At the No.3 singles match,
Julieta Lecce recovered for Chowan 4-6, 6-1, 10-1, before teammate,
Angelique Gouin was unable to fend of the Lions 6-4, 6-0 at the fourth singles position.
Emmanuel claimed the No.5 singles 6-0, 6-0 over
Claire Revelle, before they grabbed the No.6 singles match by default from the Hawks
UP NEXT
The intended match for Sunday, March 31
st against Methodist has been postponed because of intended inclement weather. A rescheduled date has not be determined as of yet. The Hawks will hit the road on April 6 to face Converse in Spartanburg, S.C.
