MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Women's Tennis team slipped in a home Conference Carolinas match to Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon.

ON THE COURTS
In Doubles:
Cynthia Carrier and Arina Karbolina picked up the No.1 doubles position 6-3 over the Lions.

At the No.2 doubles match Julieta Lecce and Angelique Gouin fought hard but fell short 6-4 before Emmanuel grabbed the third doubles match by default from the Hawks.

In Singles:
Emmanuel entered singles play with a 1-0 lead over the Hawks. Cynthia Carrier responded with a 6-1, 3-6, 11-9 No.1 singles victory.

Arina Karbolina fought at the No.2 singles but fell short to her opponent 6-3, 6-0. 

At the No.3 singles match, Julieta Lecce recovered for Chowan 4-6, 6-1, 10-1, before teammate, Angelique Gouin was unable to fend of the Lions 6-4, 6-0 at the fourth singles position.

Emmanuel claimed the No.5 singles 6-0, 6-0 over Claire Revelle, before they grabbed the No.6 singles match by default from the Hawks

UP NEXT
The intended match for Sunday, March 31^st against Methodist has been postponed because of intended inclement weather. A rescheduled date has not be determined as of yet. The Hawks will hit the road on April 6 to face Converse in Spartanburg, S.C.
