MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Men's Tennis team battled against the wind and the Lions of Emmanuel in a 4-3 Conference Carolinas loss on Saturday afternoon.

ON THE COURTS
In Doubles:
The Hawks took an early lead in doubles play with
Mariano Yeh and
Edmond Aynedjian securing the 6-2 No.1 doubles match.Â
Adi Kaliakperov and
Louis Proulx kept the momentum for the Blue and White as they picked up the No.2 doubles positon 6-4 for the Hawks.
In Singles:
At the No.1 singles match
Edmond Aynedjian grabbed the 6-2, 6-0 victory for Chowan before
Mariano Yeh fell 6-4, 6-4 to the Lions at the second singles match.
At the No.3 singles,
Adi Kaliakperov fought hard for the 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) 10-6 win for the Blue and White.
The Hawks dropped the No.4 singles match 7-5, 7-5 with
Louis Proulx, before
Rafael D'Atri was beaten 6-0, 6-3 by Emmanuel at the fifth singles match.
The Lions claimed the No.6 singles by a default from Chowan.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will prepare to travel to Gaffney, S.C. on April 7
th to take on Limestone in a conference match up. Match time is set for 12:00pm.
