HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
The Hawks started the match off slow in doubles play with
Cynthia Carrier and
Arina Karbolina taking a 6-1 def. from North Carolina Wesleyan at the No.1 position.
Julieta Lecce and
Angelique Gouin fought hard but were unable to beat the Bishops at the No. 2 doubles match 7-5.
North Carolina Wesleyan claimed the third doubles win by a default from Chowan.
In Singles:
Cynthia Carrier fell short for the Hawks at the No.1 singles match 6-4, 6-3.
Arina Karbolina grabbed the No. 2 position win 5-2 by retirement from her opponent, while teammate
Julieta Lecce recovered for the Blue and White with a 7-5, 2-6, 10-6 victory at the third singles match.
Angelique Gouin picked up her second set 6-4 over her opponent but was unable to secure the match win 1-6, 6-4, 4-6 at the No. 4 singles.
North Carolina Wesleyan grabbed the fifth singles victory over
Claire Revelle 6-0, 6-0 for the final 5-2 match win.

The Hawks are back on home court on Friday, March 29 as they host Erskine in a Conference Carolinas match up. Match time is slated for 1:00pm.
