DUE WEST, S.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse team was unable to overcome the fast start by the Flying Fleet in a Conference Carolinas loss to Erskine on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Misten White recorded a hat-trick and added an assist.  Jordan Nicholson tallied two goals, while Leslie Escobar scored once.

Lela Knight registered a team-high seven ground balls.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Erskine scored quickly in the contest registering two goals in the first minute of play.  The Flying Fleet led 4-0 to force a timeout.

Jordan Nicholson fired off the first shot for the Hawks on a free position but missed wide of the target.

The Hawks looked to get on the board down 7-0, as Misten White and Leslie Escobar recorded shots on frame but were denied.

Leslie Escobar put the Hawks in the board midway through the half with an unassisted goal.  Jordan Nicholson scored on a free position attempt to cut the deficit to 8-2.

Misten White scored an unassisted goal for the final goal of the half for the Hawks as Erskine led 13-3.

Second Half:

Erskine scored three goals to start the half before Misten White ended the run with an unassisted goal.  White would find the back of the net again before finding Jordan Nicholson for a goal for the final tally.
