HILTON HEAD, S.C.-The Chowan Women's Tennis team fell short in their final match of the 2019 Spring TennisFest to Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday afternoon.

ON THE SCORECARD 
University of Missouri-St. Louis grabbed an early lead over Chowan after sweeping all three doubles matches.

In Singles:
Cynthia Carrier grabbed the lone win for the Hawks after beating her opponent a 6-4, 2-6, 13-11 at the No.1 singles match.

The Hawks were unable to secure the No.2 singles position 6-2, 6-4 with Arina Karbolina, before Julieta Lecce battled in the 7-5, 6-4 loss at the No.3 singles match. 

Missouri- St. Louis secured the 6-3, 6-3 victory over Angelique Gouin at the fourth singles match before beating Claire Revelle 6-0, 6-0 at the No.5 singles.

The Hawks will return to home court on Tuesday, March 19th when they take on Barton in a conference match up. First serve is set for 2:00pm.
