MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse team slipped to Coker in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at home.

Jordan Nicholson scored two goals for the Hawks in the loss. Leslie Escobar recorded a goal and an assist. Misten White scored a goal as well.
Tahvae Burton picked up a team-high five ground balls. Tahvanee Burton and Jasmine Latney grabbed two draw controls each.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Jordan Nicholson put the Hawks on the board first with an unassisted goal. Coker would counter with 14 unanswered goals to lead 14-1.
Karly Timmons tallied a shot on frame during a free position attempt but was saved.
Leslie Escobar was able to find the back of the net collecting her own miss in front of cage and slotting the attempt past the keeper.
Misten White found the back of the net before the end of the half to cut the deficit to 14-3.
Second Half:
Coker pushed their advantage to 17-3 before Jasmine Latney's free position shot was saved. Jordan Nicholson scored off a Leslie Escobar pass from behind the cage.
The Cobras added four more goals to take the victory 21-4.

Chowan hits the road for Conference Carolinas action on Saturday, March 2 as the Hawks travel to Due West, S.C. to face Erskine. Opening draw is at 12pm.
