HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan, ranked 9th in the region, wrapped up the regular season with a 10-4-1 overall record and an 8-1-1 mark in league play to grab the regular season championship outright.
Harrison Ardron finished the regular season with a career-high 12 goals. Toby Sims added six goals and two assists as a defender.
Trevin Myers finished with a league leading seven assists to add to his two goals. Sam Hall chipped in with four goals and three assists. Mitchell Levi Lewis and Joury den Boogert posted two goals and five assists. Levi Lewis netted the game-winner in the season finale.
Ross Miller is 10-3-1 on the season with five shutouts and a 1.04 goals allowed average.
CAGING THE BOBCATS
Lees-McRae grabbed the eighth seed despite falling in their regular season finale. The Bobcats are 3-10-2 on the season and finished with a 3-6-1 mark in league action. The Bobcats have lost three straight matches and are 1-5-2 on the road this season.
Stephon Davis leads the team with four goals. Johannes Oeksnevad and Eduardo Olavide have tallied three goals each.
Anton Sundstrom has 72 saves between the pipes this season and allows 2.20 goals per game.
PAST MEETINGS
Chowan leads the series 4-2 and have won the last four meetings. The Hawks took the 4-2 victory earlier this season at home. The Hawks defeated the Bobcats last season on the road prior to picking up a huge 3-2 win in 2017 as the Bobcats were nationally-ranked.
