RUNNING DOWN THE "HALL"WAY
Chowan has played well down the stretch despite the record being 1-2. The Hawks have competed against a Virginia Union team that was receiving votes in the top-25 and against a Virginia State program that is ranked in the Super Region Two poll.
The Hawks nearly pulled the upset on both fronts falling by one score in both contests.
Chowan is averaging 467.0 total yards in the past three games with 239.3 yards on the ground and 227.7 through the air. Deshaun Wethington is averaging 182.3 yards on the ground.
The difference in the last three games have been turnovers. The Hawks have committed seven turnovers and have two takeaways. On the flipside, the defense has forced five missed field goals and three missed PATs.
WHERE DO WE STAND?
Deshaun Wethington is eighth in the country in rushing yards with 1,070. Wethington is first in the CIAA in rushing yards. He ranks third in the country in yards per game (152.9) and second in yards per carry (8.63). Both are tops in the CIAA. Wethington is 10th in the NCAA in all-purpose yards of 165.1.
Torrance Brumfield is ninth in the country and second in the CIAA in combined kick return yards with 689.
Rafiq Abdul-Wahid and Antonion Hines are ninth in the country and second in the CIAA in blocked kicks (2).
Bryce Witt is 16th in the country and first in the CIAA in passing touchdowns (21). Witt is second in the CIAA in passing yards (1,819) and passing yards per game (202.1).

TAMING THE LIONS
Lincoln (Pa.) is winless on the season with a 0-9 overall record and a 0-6 mark in CIAA action. Despite their record, the Lions have played tough this season.
Lincoln is scoring 12.4 points a game while allowing 46.8 points. The Lions average 201.8 of their 250.4 yards through the air. The Lions have dual quarterbacks in Eban Jackson and Emmitt Hunt. The duo have combined for 1816 yards and 13 touchdowns. The downfall is the 22 interceptions.
Defensively, Solomon Bassett leads the defensive line with 10.0 TFLs and 3.0 sacks. Islam Abdul-Rabb leads the team with 50 tackles.
IN THE SERIES
Chowan leads the series 8-1 and have won the last seven meetings. The last time the Hawks made the trip, Chowan defeated the Lions 73-30 behind a CIAA single-game rushing record of 308 yards by Tyrell Freeman.
