HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Chowan went on the attack early as two corner kicks led to two shots by the Hawks.  Sam Hall's attempt sailed high and Toby Sims had his attempt saved.

In the 17', Chowan had a flurry of shots sent towards the game but were unable to get through the Crusader defense as Joury den Boogert and Trevin Myers' shots were blocked.

Joury den Boogert had a header in the 40' but was denied by the Belmont Abbey keeper.

Following a corner kick clearance, Belmont Abbey found the back of the net as the punch from Ross Miller landed at the foot of a Crusader, who finished it into the lower corner for the 1-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

Second Half:

Mitchell Levi Lewis had an attempt saved and Trevin Myers had his attempt blocked early in the half.

The Crusaders countered as a ball played centrally would be played into the left corner of the goal for a 2-0 lead.

Harrison Ardron and Toby Sims had attempts denied in the middle portion of the half.

Belmont Abbey pushed their advantage to 3-0 in the 65'.

Chowan was unable to counter late as Ross Miller had to make two saves down the stretch.
