Women's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan enters the contest with a 0-5-2 overall record and a 0-2-2 mark in Conference Carolinas play. The Hawks have yet to find that elusive first win of the season despite playing tough competition. CU is coming off a shutout loss against Barton on Wednesday.
Carolina Lucci leads the Hawks with two goals and an assist on the season. Sierra Gonzalez has scored a goal and tallied an assist. Emily Trueman, Stephanie Quintanilla and Shannon Park of tallied a goal this season.
Lynzie Hulle has been thrust into duty in goal this season stopping 25 shots and allowing 2.16 goals per contest.
HALTING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey comes into the contest with a 5-3-0 overall record and a 3-1-0 mark in league play. The Crusaders have won two straight matches but are 1-2-0 on the road this season.
Goose Andrews lads the team with five goals. Tatiana Daugherty and Morgan Patton have found the back of the net four times each.
Lauryn Harding limits the opposing offense to 1.61 goals per match with a 78.9% save percentage.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan improved to 4-2-0 on the season and remains unbeaten in league play with a 3-0-0 record after a dominating 5-2 victory over Barton on Wednesday.
Harrison Ardron, Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, leads the team and league with eight goals after adding two more to the tally on Wednesday. Toby Sims has three goals on the season after scoring twice against Barton. Joury den Boogert leads the team and league with five assists this season.
Ross Miller is 4-1-0 on the season with two shutouts and a 0.99 goals allowed average.
FLANKING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey is 3-4-1 on the season but 3-0-1 in Conference Carolinas play. The Crusaders sit at the top of the league table with a one point advantage. Belmont Abbey is coming off a scoreless draw against Emmanuel during the week.
Albin Baathe paces the team with three goals. Mikey Puskar is the only other Crusader with multiple goals sitting with two.
Ben Knust allows 1.29 goals per match with a 79.1% save percentage.
