MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – In a match against the unbeaten and regionally ranked Trojans, the Chowan Women's Soccer team gave Mount Olive their best shot in a scoreless double-overtime draw on the road on Wednesday.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Chowan handed the ninth-ranked team in the region their first draw in Conference Carolinas play.
Chowan looked to dominate for most of the contest as the Hawks outshot the Trojans 21-13. The Hawks would lead in on target shots 6-3.
Lynzie Hulle would record the clean sheet with stopping three shots. Hulle had a quiet afternoon, not recording a save until the 76' of play.
Carolina Lucci posted five shots on the afternoon with two shots on frame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Mount Olive would go on the attack early recording two shots and two corners in the first five minutes of play.
Emily Trueman recorded the first shot for the Hawks in the 11' but sailed wide. In the 16', Carolina Lucci ripped a shot towards cage but was denied.
Five minutes later, Sydney Henderson sent two shots towards the cage but was turned away.
Sydney Henderson, Carolina Lucci, and Sierra Gonzalez would have looks at the goal but could not reel it in.
Second Half:
Lillian DeLucca and Sabine Felix sent shots wide in the early stages of the second half. Following a corner kick in the 52', DeLucca had two attempts blocked to keep the match scoreless.
In the 64', Stephanie Quintanilla had a shot saved. Quintanilla would have the perfect look at goal in the 70' as Carolina Lucci shielded a defender and made the keeper come off her line. Quintanilla would shoot for the left post but just miss.
Lynzie Hulle would not see much action until the 76' as a Trojan shot would be easily corralled.
Chowan looked to end it in the 80' and 85' as a shot by Carolina Lucci and Sabrina Henderson would be turned away.
Overtime:
Emily Trueman posted a shot in the 92' but was an easy save for the Trojan keeper.
Both attempts by the Trojans in the first overtime period would not warrant a save by Lynzie Hulle.
Lynzie Hulle would have to make a save in the second overtime but was pushed over the bar for a corner kick.
The Hawks would not record an attempt in the second overtime as the run of play forced an offsides.
