HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Chowan came out firing in the opening minutes of the contest as Harri Lovett, Trevin Myers, and Sam Hall forced the Trojan keeper to make the save.

Mount Olive would record a shot on goal in the 10' but was saved by Ross Miller.

The Hawks kept up the pressure as Harrison Ardron and Joury den Boogert posted shots on frame.

Sam Hall looked to sneak one past the Trojans but his attempt would bounce off the right post and be cleared away.

The attack continued for the Hawks a Harrison Ardron settled a ball in the middle of the box and sent a back heel flick to Joury den Boogert in the 34' to put the Hawks on top 1-0.

Mitchell Levi Lewis looked to make it 2-0 as the Hawks were given a free kick just outside the top of the box.  Levi Lewis' free kick would curl a bit too much and miss the left post.

Second Half:

Robin Walsh came out firing in the second half with a shot to force a save by the Trojans.

Ross Miller was forced to make a save in the 57' to preserve the shutout.  In the 60', Mount Olive nearly found the equalizer as a shot from close range would sail over the crossbar.

The Hawks would go on the counter attack as Harrison Ardron received a ball near midfield.  Ardron would play the ball up to Trevin Myers on the left wing.  Myers found the head of Erik Ruiz, who punched it home for the 2-0 advantage in the 62'.

Trevin Myers looked to increase the advantage in the 76' as an attempt found his foot, but a Trojan defender would get enough on it to deflect it over the crossbar.

London Williams and Nayson Tianga posted shots late in the half but were saved by the Trojan keeper.
