MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team posted four second half goals to defeat Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas action at home on Saturday afternoon.

Trevin Myers recorded a goal and two assists in the win. Sam Hall posted a goal and an assist. Harrison Ardron added to his league leading scoring with a goal.
Toby Sims and Harri Lovett added a point each with an assist. Danny Gallegos scored a goal in the second straight match.
Ross Miller picked up the win in goal with three saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Chowan would miss chances in the first half as Harrison Ardron had a shot sail high and one blocked.
Lees-McRae benefitted from a foul inside the box in the 20' to put the Bobcats on top 1-0.
Trevin Myers looked to put the Hawks on the board in the 31' as his attempt was cleared off the line by the Bobcat defense. Joury den Boogert tried to clean up the attempt but was denied.
In the 33', Chowan was granted a penalty kick. The Bobcat keeper came up big with a save to keep LMC in the lead.
The Hawks would trail 1-0 heading into the locker room.
Second Half:
Chowan started fast in the second half as Trevin Myers settled a pass on the right side of the box. Myers would thread the ball over to Sam Hall at the top of the box and send a rocket through the keeper's hands for the equalizer in the 51'.
The attack continued for the Hawks as Trevin Myers forced the Bobcats to save his attempt. Myers would finally find the back of the net as Sam Hall returned the favor at the top of the box allowing Myers to find the left post for the 2-1 lead.
In the 69' Trevin Myers corralled a loose ball and played the ball back to Harri Lovett on the right edge of the box. Lovett would swing the ball to the middle of the box allowing Harrison Ardron to find the far post for the 3-1 lead.
The Hawks would add to their lead in the 87' as a free kick outside the right side of the box led to a goal. Toby Sims' rocket bounced off the wall and found the foot of Danny Gallegos. Gallegos finished the attempt into the right post.
Lees-McRae closed the gap to 4-2 in the final minute of play.
