Women's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 shutout against Converse on Thursday. The Hawks are 1-6-2 on the season and 1-3-2 in league play.
Carolina Lucci leads the Hawks with three goals and two assists on the season. Sierra Gonzalez has scored a goal and tallied an assist. Emily Trueman, Stephanie Quintanilla, Sabrina Henderson and Shannon Park of tallied a goal this season.
Lynzie Hulle picked up her first collegiate win and shutout on Thursday. Hulle has 33 saves this season and lowered her goals allowed average to 1.87.
CAGING THE BOBCATS
Lees-McRae is winless this season with a 0-9-0 overall record and 0-5-0 in league play. The Bobcats have struggled to find the back of the net this season scoring only five goals. LMC has been shut out the past three matches.
Lianna Smith leads the team with three goals. Hope Sanborn and Makayla Willets split time in goal with 99 combined saves while allowing 3.38 goals per match.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan picked up a non-conference win against Lenoir-Rhyne during the week to improve to 5-3-0. The Hawks are 3-1-0 in league play and sit in third in the league standings.
Harrison Ardron continues to lead the Conference Carolinas with nine goals. Toby Sims has scored four goals, while Sam Hall has scored three times.
Mitchell Levi Lewis broke the all-time program record off assists after tallying three against Lenoir-Rhyne. Levi Lewis and Joury den Boogert have five assists on the season and are tied for the most in the Conference Carolinas.
Ross Miller is 5-2-0 on the season with three shutouts and a 1.13 goals allowed average.
ATTACKING THE BOBCATS
Lees-McRae is 2-6-2 on the season and 2-3-2 in league action. The Bobcats have lost their last two matches and 0-3-2 on the road.
Stephon Davis and Johannes Oeksnevad pace the team with three goals each. Anton Sundstrom has 45 saves this season and allows 2.30 goals per contest.
