MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team battled tough in the 2018 Conference Carolinas opener before falling to nationally ranked Limestone in double overtime.

Harry Ardron netted his first collegiate goal of his career. Denis Roule and Mitchell Levi Lewis picked up an assist.
Elliot Chadderton was the tough look loser in cage stopping seven shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Limestone posted the first shots of the contest forcing a save by Elliot Chadderton. In the 13', Mitchell Levi Lewis missed the cage just left.
Both teams traded shots and possession throughout the first half without finding the back of the net.
In the 44', the Hawks had two chances to find the back of the net. Trevin Myers' header would go off the post and Denis Roule's attempt was saved.
Second Half:
Limestone came out of the break on the attack registering four shots and four corners in the first 15 minutes of action.
The Hawks would go on the counter attack in the 65' as Mitchell Levi Lewis played a ball up the pitch to Denis Roule. Roule would slot the ball to his left to find Harry Ardron wide open on the left post for the opening goal.
The score would not hold for long as Limestone found the equalizer in the 67' on a header.
Chowan would continue to push forward midway through the half as shots by Trevin Myers, Denis Roule, Toby Sims, and Harry Garstang would be turned away.
Both teams would not be able to find the game-winner in regulation.
First Overtime:
Chowan held the advantage in the shot column in the first overtime 4-1. Denis Roule had two chances early but his heading attempts went awry.
Second Overtime:
Limestone would take the second overtime outshooting the Hawks 5-0. A foul outside of the left edge of the box allowed the Saints to convert on a set piece. The Saints would find the game-winner in the 108'.
