MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The regionally ranked Chowan Men's Soccer team picked up a 2-1 victory in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon against Erskine at home.

Harry Ardron and Lee Wattam would find the back of the net for the Hawks.
Chowan posted seven shots in the contest with five on target.  The Hawks' defense held Erskine to two shots on frame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Denis Roule tallied two shots in the early portion of the half but was saved by the Flying Fleet keeper.
Lee Wattam had a shot blocked and Erik Ruiz's attempt late in the half was saved.
Elliot Chadderton stopped the only shot he faced in the half.
Second Half:
Harry Ardron would put the Hawks on the board in the 50' finding the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
Lee Wattam pushed the advantage to 2-0 on a breakaway up the middle of the pitch.
Chowan would concede a goal in the 84' as Erskine found the back of the net to break up the clean sheet.
