HAWKS PROFILE
Chowan is 1-1-0 this week falling to regionally ranked Wingate, 2-0, before picking up a convincing 5-1 win on the road against Lincoln (Pa.) on Thursday. The Hawks are 2-3-0 this season and 1-1-0 in league play.
Sabrina Henderson, recently named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, leads the team with seven goals. Henderson scored a program best four goals in the win against SWU and added two more goals against Lincoln. Carolina Lucci is second on the team with three goal but leads the team with four assists.
GROUNDING THE FLYING FLEET
Erskine is 4-3-0 this season but sits near the top of the league table with a 3-1-0 record in Conference Carolinas play. The Flying Fleet have won three straight matches coming into the contest.
Vivian Gonzalez and Maddi Cole pace the Fleet with two goals each. Eight other players have scored a goal for the Fleet.
Erskine has kept matches close scoring 1.71 goals per match and their opponents scoring 1.86.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan improved to 3-1-1 on the season after outscoring Newberry 5-3 on the road during the week. Chowan sits with a 1-1-0 record with their lone loss coming by the hands of nationally ranked Limestone.
Harry Garstang jumped to the top of the scoring leaders for the Hawks converting two PKs in the win against Newberry to bring his total to three goals. Garstang has two assists on the season. Trevin Myers also sits with three goals on the season.
Mitchell Levi Lewis is tied at the top of the league stats with five assists on the season to pace the Hawks. Elliot Chadderton is allowing 1.30 goals per contest while the Hawks are scoring 2.40 goals per match.
NAVIGATING THE FLEET
Erskine is 1-5-0 on the season and winless in league play sitting at 0-3-0. The Fleet picked up a win to open the season but has dropped their last five matches.
The Fleet have scored only four goals this season while allowing 2.17 goals per contest. Dario Pavon leads the Fleet with two goals and one assist.
