LINCOLN, PA. – In the pouring rain, the Chowan Women's Soccer team picked up a convincing 6-1 victory over Lincoln (Pa.) in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Sabrina Henderson continued her scoring ways with two goals in the first half.  Emily Trueman scored her first collegiate goal as Trueman scored twice.

Carolina Lucci found the back of the net twice and added an assist.  Stephanie Quintanilla tallied an assist.

Chowan outshot Lincoln 26-12 as Danielle Acree tallied 10 saves on the afternoon to pick up her first win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Chowan paced the offense with eight shots to start the contest before Carolina Lucci found Sabrina Henderson for the contest's first goal of the match in the 25'.

Carolina Lucci would put the Hawks up 2-0 in the 32' as Lucci stole the loose ball and found the back of the net.

Late in the first half, Sabrina Henderson would add another goal to her tally collecting a loose ball in front of net for the 3-0 lead in the 41'.

Second Half:

Quickly to open the second half, Emily Trueman would give the Hawks a 4-0 and 5-0 lead scoring on back-to-back shots for the Hawks.  Trueman would chip the keeper from around 40 yards out from the right wing.  Trueman struck again four minutes later as Stephanie Quintanilla slotted a pass up the middle of the box for the easy goal.

Lincoln (Pa.) ended the shutout in the 65' as Lions' leading scorer found the back of the net.

Carolina Lucci found the back of the net in the 83' for the final tally of the contest to close the contest at 6-1.
