BANNER ELK, N.C.-The Chowan Men's Tennis team secured the 9-0 win over Lees McRae on Saturday afternoon in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
Chowan secured the strong 3-0 lead with all three doubles matches. 

In Singles:
  • The Hawks picked up the No.1 singles match 6-2, 6-4 with Adi Kaliakperov while teammate, Ghassan Alansi grabbed the 8-4 victory at the No.2 singles position. 
  • At the No.3 singles, Louis Proulx beat his opponent 8-4 before Mariano Yeh took the 8-5 win at the fourth singles match. 
  • Enrique Barge picked up a clean 8-0 win at the No.5 singles for the Blue and White. 
  • Mateusz Izycki took the No.6 singles match by a forfeit from the Bobcats.

Chowan travels to Bristol, Tenn for a conference match up against King. Match time is slated for 1:00pm
