WILSON, N.C.- Chowan University's Women's Tennis team secured the 7-2 victory over Barton on Thursday afternoon in conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:

• At the No.1 doubles match the Bulldogs took the 8-4 win over Polina Novachuk and Cynthia Carrier before Hanna Tarlouskaya and Victoria Smolchenkova grabbed the No.2 8-6 victory. 
• Lenka Styblova and Angelique Gouin picked up the No.3 doubles match 8-3 for the Hawks. 

In Singles:

• The Hawks headed into singles play with the 2-1 lead. Polina Novachuk defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-4 at the No.1 singles before Cynthia Carrier picked up the second singles match 6-4, 7-5. 
• The Bulldogs recovered at the No.3 singles match 6-0, 6-1 over Hanna Tarlouskaya. 
• Victoria Smolchenkova grabbed the No.4 singles win 6-4, 6-2 for the Blue and White. 
• Lenka Styblova and Angelique Gouin won the No.5 and No.6 singles 6-0, 6-1 respectively.

The Hawks will travel to Banner Elk, N.C. on Saturday, April 7 for a conference match up against Lees-McRae. Match time is set for 1:00pm.
