SUMTER, S.C.-The Chowan Men's Tennis team will advance to the 2018 Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship Finals after posting a 5-1 win over Barton on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:

• Barton grabbed the No.1 doubles 8-6 over Ghassan Alansi and Mariano Yeh. 
• Chowan recovered at the No.2 doubles when Rafael Goncalves and Mateusz Izycki grabbed the 8-3 win. 
• Adi Kaliakperov and Louis Proulx secured the No.3 doubles position 8-4 for the Hawks.

In Singles:

• With a 2-1 lead into singles play, Adi Kaliakperov beat his competitor 6-1, 6-2. 
• Senior, Mateusz Izycki took the 6-4, 6-2 win at the No.3 singles match. 
• Rafael Goncalves clinched the match win for the Hawks with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at the No.5 singles position.
