MURFREESBORO, N.C. -The Chowan Woman's Tennis team grabbed a 9-0 victory over Methodist on Sunday afternoon. This win marks the Hawks seventh straight win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Doubles:
Chowan picked up all three doubles matches for an early 3-0 lead into singles play. 

In Singles:

• Polina Novachuk secured the No.1 singles position 6-0, 6-1 for the Hawks, while Cynthia Carrier grabbed the No.2 singles victory 6-2, 6-3. 
• At the third singles match, Hanna Tarlouskaya defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-1 for the Blue and White. 
• Chowan won the No.4 singles match with Victoria Smolchenkova 6-3, 6-2 while teammate, Lenka Styblova grabbed the 6-0, 6-0 victory at the fifth singles position. 
• Angelique Gouin beat her competitor 6-1, 6-0 for the Hawks at the No.6 singles. 

UP NEXT 
The Hawks will host Limestone College in a make up contest on March 29th. This match was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 24. Match is slated for 2:00pm at the Rose Family Tennis Courts.
