HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan suffered their second straight loss in the CIAA Northern division after falling to Lincoln 71-68 at home on Wednesday. The Hawks fell to 18-7 on the season and 10-5 in CIAA action. CU is 5-4 in the Northern division.
The Hawks slid to eighth in the recent D2SIDA Atlantic Regional poll and was ranked ninth in the opening NCAA Atlantic Regional poll.
The Blue and White is led by seniors Dhyamond Crenshaw and Chantel Roberts. Roberts has been the hot hand for the Hawks averaging a double-double, 19.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in the month of February. Roberts is also averaging a double-double in CIAA play. Crenshaw is recording 16.6 points per contest.
Mariah Coker chips in with 11.9 points and 5.5 assists per contest. Danielle Weldon adds to the mix with 10.9 points and 7.1 rebounds a game.
PANTHER FACTS
Virginia Union clinched the CIAA Northern Division title with their win earlier in the week with an 8-1 record. The Panthers are ranked fifth in the nation and 24-2 on the season.
Alexis Johnson and Rachael Pecota lead the Panthers with 17.0 and 16.1 points per game. Shareka McNeil chips in with 12.7 points a game.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan suffered an 87-81 overtime loss to Lincoln at home on Senior night earlier in the week to snap a three game win streak. The Hawks are 11-14 on the season and 5-10 in CIAA play.
The Hawks have four players in double-figures this season. Tim Hewett leads the Hawks with 16.1 points per night. Demetrius Sanders has tallied four straight 20+ point outings to up his average to 14.9 points a game. Robert Grubbs adds 13.1 along with Gus Rowland at 12.5 a night.
Demetrius Sanders and Gus Rowland were honored by the CIAA for their efforts last week.
Dino Muminovic has wreaked havoc in the paint all season as the transfer has produced the most blocks in a career with 70 blocks so far this season.
PANTHER FACTS
Virginia Union is 13-14 on the season and 8-7 in CIAA play. The Panthers are coming off a loss to Elizabeth City State during the week.
The Panther have three players in double-figures with Kory Cooley leading the team with 12.5 points a game. Todd Hughes (11.9) and James Paige (11.6) add to the scoring output.
