HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan wrapped up the regular season with an 8-6-1 overall record. The Hawks would pick up the 2-0 shutout against Emmanuel in the quarterfinals on Tuesday to advance to the semifinals.
Sabrina Henderson and Carolina Lucci lead the Hawks offensively, as Henderson has 11 goals and five assists, while Lucci has 10 goals and seven assists on the season.
Olivia Borer has a 1.03 GAA this season with four shutouts. Chowan suffered a 4-1 loss to Limestone in the second week of the season.
KEEPING THE SAINTS FROM MARCHING ON
Limestone cruised to a perfect Conference Carolinas record on their way to a 15-2 overall record.
Megan O'Connor leads the Saints with 14 goals on the season. Millie Shaw paces the team with 13 assists.
The Saints have outscored their opponents 55-10 this season and allow 0.59 goals per contest.
CONFERENCE CAROLINAS WOMEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT
The top-seeded Limestone defeated Mount Olive 3-0 to secure their spot in the semifinals. No. 2 Belmont Abbey would grind out a 1-0 win over No. 7 Erskine.
No. 3 North Greenville would be upset by No. 6 Barton, 2-1. No. 4 Chowan handled No. 5 Emmanuel 2-0.
Chowan and Limestone will square off at 4pm, with Barton and Belmont Abbey playing for the final spot in the championship match at 7pm.
