BANNER ELK, N.C. – Playing their second match in three days, the Chowan Women's Soccer team dropped another close match in Conference Carolinas action, 1-0, to Lees-McRae on Monday afternoon.

Chowan posted 12 shots on the contest with seven being on target.  The Hawks held the Bobcats to four shots with two being on frame.
The Hawks tallied six corners to just one for Lees-McRae.
Sydney Henderson tallied four shots in the contest.  Carolina Lucci notched three shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Stephanie Quintanilla posted the first shot of the game for either side but was saved by the Bobcats keeper. 
Carolina Lucci and Sydney Henderson tallied a shot on frame but denied the scoring chance.
Both teams settled in during the half until a through ball by the Bobcats allowed an attack to find the top of the post for the 1-0 advantage in the 41'.
Second Half:
Carolina Lucci and Sabrina Henderson ripped shots early in the second half but unable to sneak it past the keeper.
Sydney Henderson looked to equalize the match late but could not find the net.
