CHOWAN'S OFFENSE ROLLING
Chowan is averaging 36.8 points per game this season while allowing 45.8 points a game.  The Hawks have scored 46.5 points per game at home with a record of 1-1.

Bryce Witt posted his third straight 300+ yard passing outing of the season with 368 yards and four touchdowns in the 40-38 loss to Fayetteville State last weekend.  Tyrell Freeman was held under 100-yds rushing last weekend to drop his average to 87.5 yards per game.

TAKING A BITE OUT OF THE BULLDOGS
Bowie State is 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in CIAA action led by senior signal caller Amir Hall.  Hall was named CIAA Quarterback of the Week for the first three weeks of the season.  The dual-threat QB averages 343.4 yards through the air and 36.4 yards on the ground per game accounting for 17 total touchdowns.

Brandon Abrams has big shoes to fill replacing Robert Chesson, who graduated last season.  Lansana Sesay is Amir Hall's favorite target for big plays picking up three of the five CIAA weekly honors.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Chowan and Bowie State will meet for the ninth time in the series with the Bulldogs leading 6-2 in the series.  The Hawks have failed to record a home win against the Bulldogs.  Bowie State defeated Chowan 41-10 last season but escaped Garrison Field with a 21-14 victory the last time in Murfreesboro.

ON THIS DATE
Chowan has played one time on October 6, that meeting in 2012 against Bowie State.  Bowie State defeated the Hawks 35-31 in Murfreesboro.  The Bulldogs scored with 39 seconds left to steal the win.
