MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Soccer teams wrap up the 2018 regular season as the Hawks travel to Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas action.
The men will play Friday, October 26 at 3:30pm, while the women will play on Saturday at noon.

Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan controls their own destiny on their quest to a Conference Carolinas Regular Season Championship. The Hawks are 9-2-2 on the season and sport a 7-2-0 league record. With a win the Hawks would claim a share of the title with Limestone. CU could claim the outright title with the win and a Limestone loss against Erskine.
The Hawks moved up to sixth in the United Soccer Coaches Association Regional Poll and jumped into the NCAA Regional Poll sitting at sixth. Chowan is 5-0-1 on the road this season.
Harry Garstang and Trevin Myers lead the team with six goals this season. Garstang has four assists, while Trevin Myers was recently named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week. Harry Ardron has scored five times, while Denis Roule has found the back of the net four times.
Mitchell Levi Lewis is tied for the most assist in league action with a program best nine assists. The Hawks have lowered their goals against average to 0.80 on the season with Elliot Chadderton allowing 0.89 goals this season.
CAPTURING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey is 6-6-3 on the season and sits in third in the league standings at 5-1-3. The Crusaders are coming off two shutout losses against Lenoir-Rhyne and Catawba.
BAC has five players with two or more goals but Adam Lindskog leads the team with three goals. Freshman netminder, Ben Knust, allows 1.03 goals per contest this season.
Women's Soccer
HAWKS PROFILE
Chowan improved to 7-6-1 and 6-3-1 in Conference Carolinas action. The Hawks saw their four match win streak snapped on Wednesday against regionally ranked Catawba, 1-0, on the road. Chowan sits in fourth place in the league standings.
Sabrina Henderson and Carolina Lucci lead the team with nine and eight goals respectively. Lucci paces the team with six assists.
COUNTERING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey sits with a 12-2-0 overall record and second place in the league standings with an 8-2-0 overall record. The Crusaders have won their last three matches in shutout fashion.
Morgan Patton leads the team with six goals. Katherine Turner has scored four goals. Caroline Lauer, sophomore goalkeeper, has allowed nine goals this season along with her counterpart, Lauryn Harding allowing one goal in 535 minutes.
