FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – The Chowan Women's Soccer team won their fourth straight match as the Hawks downed Emmanuel 1-0 on the road Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action.

Chowan posted 13 shots in the contest with six being on frame.
Olivia Borer posted her third shutout of the season stopping five shots.
Ana Salgado posted the game-winner, her second goal of the season. Sabrina Henderson registered the assist.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Sabrina Henderson look to put the Hawks on the board in the first two minutes of the contest but the attempt was saved.
Both teams posted shots in the contest but neither was able to find the back of the net in the half.
Second Half:
To open the half, both team registered corners and shots on frame. Both keepers denied the attempts.
In the 65, Carolina Lucci looked to break the scoreless tie but was unable to sneak it past the keeper.
After a flurry of shots by Sabrina Henderson that hit the crossbar, and two shots by Carolina Lucci, the Hawks were able to pick up the first tally in the contest as Sabrina Henderson found Ana Salgado in space and finishing the strike before the Lions' defense was able to clear the attempt off the line in the 84'.
