Chowan moved to 2-3-1 on the season after a frustrating 0-0 double overtime draw to Erskine over the weekend.
Sabrina Henderson, recently named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, leads the team with seven goals. Henderson scored a program best four goals in the win against SWU and added two more goals against Lincoln. Carolina Lucci is second on the team with three goal but leads the team with four assists.
BATTLING THE TROJANS
Mount Olive is 3-3-0 on the season and sits with a 2-2-0 record in league play. The Trojans are coming off a 4-3 overtime win against Lees-McRae on Saturday ending a two match losing streak.
The Trojans are 1-2-0 on the road this season allowing 4.0 goals per contest on the road. Raven Withaar and Jaelyn Brown lead the team with four and three goals respectively.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan continued their climb in the regional rankings moving to seventh in the region after a 2-1 victory at home against Erskine. The Hawks are 4-1-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in league action.
Harry Garstang jumped to the top of the scoring leaders for the Hawks converting two PKs in the win against Newberry to bring his total to three goals. Garstang has three assists on the season. Trevin Myers and Harry Ardron also sits with three goals on the season.
Mitchell Levi Lewis is tied at the top of the league stats with five assists on the season to pace the Hawks. Elliot Chadderton is allowing 1.26 goals per contest while the Hawks are scoring 2.34 goals per match.
TAKING ON THE TROJANS
Mount Olive is 3-3-1 on the season and 1-1-0 in league play. The Trojans have lost their last two matches and are 0-2-0 on the road this season.
Alfie Pope leads the charge with three goals this season. The Trojans have scored eight goals so far this season while only allowing seven goals.
