HAWKS PROFILE
Chowan moved to 6-5-1 on the season and 4-3-1 in Conference Carolinas play with a 3-0-0 record this week. The Hawks started the week with a 7-0 win over King before coming back to defeat Converse 3-2 in overtime and defeating Barton 2-1 in overtime.
Sabrina Henderson and Carolina Lucci lead the team with nine and eight goals respectively. Lucci paces the team with six assists.
The Hawks sit in a tie for fourth in the league standings with Erskine at 16 points.
BATTLING THE LIONS
Emmanuel is 5-5-1 on the season and 4-3-1 in the league. The Lions are sixth in the standings with 13 points.
The Lions have two of the top five goal scorers in the league including the top scorer in Hannah Logue with 12 goals. Lindsay Lee has nine goals and six assists this season. Kayla Brown chips in with seven goals.
Emmanuel is winless in their last three matches, 0-2-1, but have battled the top two teams in the league standings falling 4-3 to Limestone and 1-0 to Belmont Abbey.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan continued their strong play sporting an 8-2-2 overall record and sitting tied at the top of the league table with a 6-2-0 record. The regionally ranked Hawks battled to a scoreless overtime draw against nationally ranked Lander on Wednesday. The Hawks are unbeaten in their last five matches, 4-0-1, and sport the same record on the road this season.
Harry Garstang and Harry Ardron lead the team with five goals this season. Garstang has chipped in with four assists. Trevin Myers and Denis Roule have found the back of the net four times.
Mitchell Levi Lewis is tied for the most assist in league action with eight assists. The Hawks have lowered their goals against average to 0.86 on the season with Elliot Chadderton allowing 0.97 goals this season.
CAGING THE LIONS
Emmanuel is 7-5-1 on the season and tied for fourth in the league standings with a 4-2-1 mark. The Lions are unbeaten this year at home with a 3-0-1 record.
Danny Cameron leads the team with nine goals with four of those coming in league action. The Lions allow 1.05 goals per contest.
