MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Stephanie Quintanilla headed home the game-winning goal in overtime as the Chowan Women's Soccer team completed the comeback to take a 3-2 victory against Converse in Conference Carolinas action on Wednesday afternoon.

Chowan scored three goals in the final 25 minutes of action to take the win.
Sabrina Henderson netted her ninth goal of the season. Henderson added an assist.
Emily Trueman and Stephanie Quintanilla tallied a goal. Susan Balladares and Ana Salgado registered an assist.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Rebekah Langley tallied the first shot for either side as her attempt bounced off the crossbar in the eighth minute.
Chowan's defense played tough forcing several blocked shots. Converse would find the back of the net in the 39' as a deflection found the foot of the Valkyries' attacker.
Second Half:
Chowan looked for the equalizer early in the half as Stephanie Quintanilla, Sabrina Henderson and Sydney Henderson posted shots on target but were saved.
Converse used the counter-attack to take a 2-0 lead in the 61'.
Following a corner kick in the 72', Susan Balladares found Sabrina Henderson towards the left post. Henderson would hit the post and bank the attempt past the line for the goal to close the gap to 2-1.
Chowan continued to pressure forward as Sabrina Henderson played a through ball from midfield up to Ana Salgado. Salgado crossed the ball from the right to find Emily Trueman near the left post for the headed equalizer.
First Overtime:
The Hawks were given a corner in the 97'. Emily Trueman's corner was misplayed by the Valkyries' defender and went towards cage. Stephanie Quintanilla finished off the bounce heading the attempt into the net for the game-winner.
