MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer battled to a double-overtime draw against nationally-ranked Lander in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

Elliot Chadderton posted his second straight clean sheet with five saves. The Hawks defense has allowed one goal in the last 470 minutes.
Lander posted 14 shots in the contest but the backline defense of Jamie McNicholas, Shane Hanney, Toby Sims, and Djordge Novovic allowed five shots on target.
Chowan posted six shots in the contest with three on frame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Lander tallied the first shot in the contest but was saved by Elliot Chadderton.
Trevin Myers had a good look at the goal in the 29' but the headed attempt sailed wide. In the 35', Toby Sims' attempt was saved.
Second Half:
In a defensive battle, Lander posted six shots in the half with two on target.
Shane Hanney tallied the lone shot in the half in the 88' but sailed high.
First Overtime:
Lander posted a shot in the 93' but was saved by Elliot Chadderton.
Harry Ardron posted a shot high in the 96'. Trevin Myers registered a shot late in the period but was denied.
Second Overtime:
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second overtime period as both teams battled to a draw.
