WILSON, N.C. – The regionally ranked Chowan Men's Soccer team earn their fourth straight win and third shutout during the stretch with a 3-0 victory over regionally ranked Barton in Conference Carolinas action on Monday evening.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Trevin Myers and Harry Ardron scored their fourth and fifth goals respectively in the first half.  Harry Garstang converted a penalty kick in the second half for his fifth goal of the season.

Harry Garstang and Mitchell Levi Lewis tallied an assist in the half.

Elliot Chadderton had a quiet night in cage with four saves.  Toby Sims, Djordge Novovic, Jamie McNicholas, and Shane Hanney kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Chowan pressured early and often with four shots in the first 15 minutes of action.  A turnover in the attacking third allowed Harry Garstang to collect the ball and chip ahead a pass to the streaking Trevin Myers, who finished far post for the 1-0 lead in the 7'.

The back line defense helped lead to a counter-attack for the Hawks as Mitchell Levi Lewis collected the loose ball.  Levi Lewis chipped up a pass to Harry Ardron down the right side of the pitch.  Ardron beat two defenders towards the middle of the box and finished near post for the 2-0.

The Bulldogs tallied their first shot on frame in the 28' but was an easy save by Elliot Chadderton.

Barton was awarded a free kick from 25 yards out but the defensive wall blocked the attempt and cleared out of danger.  The Bulldogs continued their attack with a cross from the right wing but was saved by Elliot Chadderton.

Second Half:

Barton tallied a dangerous shot in the 52' as a cross in the box was flicked near post but a diving Elliot Chadderton stopped the attack.

After a no call inside the box as Harry Ardron was pulled down inside the box, Erik Ruiz would be awarded a foul inside the box in the 56'.  Harry Garstang converted the penalty kick for the 3-0 lead.

The Bulldogs looked to crack the scoreboard in the 65' as an attempt from the middle of the box was corralled easily.

Denis Rouled tried to get into the scoring for the Hawks as a misplayed ball found the foot of Roule but his attempt bounced off the chest of the sliding Barton keeper.

Barton had a chance late on a free kick just outside the box but the attempted curled high.
