MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The regionally ranked Chowan Men's Soccer team continued their quest for a Conference Carolinas Regular Season title with a 2-1 victory over King at home Saturday afternoon on senior day.

Toby Sims and Harry Garstang tallied one goal each in the contest. Jake Jensen added an assist.
Elliot Chadderton posted one save on the two shots taken by the Tornado.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
King would strike first in the half as the Tornado attacker collected his own deflection and scored near post over the diving keeper in the 32'.
Chowan would answer in the 40' as Jake Jensen found the head of Toby Sims off the corner for the equalizer.
Second Half:
The go-ahead goal was there for the taking for the Hawks but unable to find the back of the net early in the half as attempts by Denis Roule, Harry Garstang, and Lee Wattam sailed high. Mitchell Levi Lewis posted a shot on target but was saved.
In the 77', Chowan was awarded a penalty kick. Harry Garstang would convert to put the Hawks up 2-1.
The Hawks looked to add another goal but attempts sailed wide.
