SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Chowan Women's Golf team wrapped the opening round of the Converse Spring Invitational on Monday afternoon. The Hawks sit in 18th after firing off a round of 360.

THE SCORECARDS
Virginia Lane led the Hawks with an opening round 78 (+6).  Lane finished with three birdies on the front nine.  Lane shot one-under on the front for a 35.

Inecia Rolle posted an 82 (+10) after carding nine pars with a front nine score of 39.

Gaby Rivera-Garcia came in third for the Hawks with a 99.  L'leah Laing rounded out the scoring with a 101.

Reina Pozo finished the round with a 109.

The Hawks will tee things up in the final round of the Converse Spring Invite on Tuesday in a shotgun start at 10am.
