HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan was dominate in their last contest as the Hawks moved to 11-1 on the season and 3-0 in CIAA play rolling to an 81-42 win over St. Augustine's on December 18.
CU remained steady in the D2SIDA Atlantic Regional polls at number eight appearing in the polls for the fourth straight week.
The Hawks are led by seniors Dhyamond Crenshaw and Chantel Roberts. Crenshaw leads the team with 17.8 points per game. Roberts is close behind with 16.1 ppg and 8.7 rebounds per contest. Mariah Coker chips in with 12.5 points and just under five dimes a game at 4.6. Danielle Weldon adds to the mix with 10.7 points and 8.3 rebounds a game.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Wingate comes into the contest with a 9-2 overall record and ranked 22 in the WBCA national polls. The Bulldogs are coming off a loss to Catawba on December 19, 60-47. Wingate has struggled on the road this season going 2-2 as the Bulldogs are perfect, 7-0, at home.
The Bulldogs are ranked second in the D2SIDA Southeast Regional poll. Senior Marta Miscenko leads the team with 15.5 ppg and just over two blocks a contest. Two other Bulldogs average double-figure points.
