MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Basketball wrap up CIAA play for 2017 with a trip to Raleigh, N.C. to face St. Augustine's for the second time this season. The women tip-off at 5:30pm with the men following.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan continues to find ways to win as the Hawks moved to 10-1 on the season and 2-0 in CIAA play with a win over Fayetteville State last week.
The Hawks are soaring high ranked eighth in the recent D2SIDA Atlantic Regional poll.
The Hawks are led by seniors Dhyamond Crenshaw and Chantel Roberts. Crenshaw leads the team with 18.3 points per game. Roberts is close behind with 15.5 ppg and 8.5 rebounds per contest. Mariah Coker chips in with 12.9 points and a shade under five dimes a game. Danielle Weldon adds to the mix with 10.1 points and 8.1 rebounds a game.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
St. Augustine's has already surpassed their win total from last season as the Falcons have four win this season sitting with a 4-7 record. The Falcons are 1-1 in CIAA play falling to Virginia State to open the league play before capping off the week with a win over Elizabeth City State.
The Falcons are led by Kaaliya Williams with 12.5 points per game. Quiera Gilmore is averaging 10.2 points off the bench.
Men's Basketball (Game Notes)
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan will look to turn their fortunes as the Hawks have dropped to a 4-6 record and 0-2 in CIAA play. The Hawks dropped two close contests last week against Shaw and Fayetteville State at the buzzer.
Chowan is led by senior Tim Hewett averaging 17.5 points per game. Demetrius Sanders (12.0), Robert Grubbs (12.7), and Gus Rowland (10.3) are also in double-figures. Dino Muminovic is coming on strong the past four games averaging 12.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
St. Augustine's is 4-8 on the season and 2-0 in CIAA play. The Falcons defeated nationally ranked Virginia State to open CIAA play and pounded Elizabeth City State to cap off the week. St. Augustine's picked up the earlier meeting this season inside the Helms Center 64-60.
Tyre Gathright and Quincy January lead the Falcons with 18.0 and 14.9 points respectively. January is posting a double-double a contest with 12.1 rebounds.
