MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Basketball Team hits the road for three games in four days traveling to Spartanburg, S.C. and Salisbury, N.C. starting with the Courtyard Classic on Friday and Saturday and wraps up the road swing on Monday against Catawba.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan is 2-0 on the season after picking up a 74-68 non-conference win over Lenoir-Rhyne earlier in the week.
Chowan has five players in double-figures to start the year as Mariah Coker and Dhyamond Crenshaw lead the team with 14.5 points per game. Joanne Williams is averaging a double-double this season with 12.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game. Chantel Roberts and Jada Lee round out the scoring with 12.0 and 10.5 ppg respectively.
ABOUT THE LIONS
Mars Hill enters the contest with a 1-2 overall record coming off a 77-65 loss to Belmont Abbey this week. The Lions are averaging 61.3 points per game led by junior Sheena Johnson scoring 14.3 points per contest.
ABOUT THE RAMS
Columbia International is 0-4 on the season as a member of the NCCAA. The Rams have played only six players so far this season with four of those in double figures scoring. Semoine Fraiser and Jordan Spruell lead the team with 13.3 and 12.3 points per game respectively.
ABOUT THE INDIANS
Catawba is currently 1-2 on the season and travels to Bowie State before the contest with the Hawks. The Indians picked up a win against Mount Olive before falling in two straight contests.
Marshauna Butler leads the Indians with 14.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
LAST MEETING
Chowan will meet Mars Hill for the first time since 2008 in a contest the Hawks came up short (63-56). Columbia International and Catawba will welcome the Hawks for the first time in the series.
