CU Women's Soccer Hosts Crusaders In Season Finale

HAWKS PROFILE

Chowan wrapped up the number-two seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament with their shutout victory over Mount Olive during the week.  The Hawks are 11-1-2 on the season and 8-1-1 in league play.  Chowan is 11th in RPI in the Southeast Region.

The Hawks are on a seven match win streak outscoring their opponents 18-1 during that span.

CU is led by freshman striker, Carolina Lucci, who tallied her 19th goal of the season and 10th game-winning goal against Mount Olive.

Lucci was named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week for the fifth time this season and currently leads the Conference Carolinas in goals (19), and points (42).  Lucci currently sits in third in the nation in goals and is the top freshman in the nation.

Sabrina Henderson is second on the team in points with 10 scoring three goals and four assists.  Mackenzie Imamura has tallied two goals and five assists this season.

Olivia Borer continues to shut out opponents notching her 10th shutout of the season and lowered her goals allowed average to 0.42 on the season.  Borer and the Chowan defense is tied for seventh in the nation allowing .411 goals per contest.

ABOUT THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey enters the contest with a 10-5-1 overall record and 6-3-1 in league play.  The Crusaders are the number-three seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament.

The Crusaders have posted better numbers on the road scoring 1.71 goals per match and allowing 0.98 goals.

Morgan Patton and Allyson Elliott lead the Crusaders with eight and six goals respectively.  Patton also leads the team with four assists.
