MURFREESBORO, N.C.- The Chowan Soccer Programs and Volleyball take on Barton on Wednesday, October 11. The Men's and Women's Soccer teams will host Barton at the Hawks Soccer Field, while the Volleyball team will travel to Barton in a non-conference match.

Women's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan enters the contest with a 6-1-2 overall record and 4-1-1 in Conference Carolinas play. The Hawks sit in second in the league table. CU is unbeaten at home and has yet to allow a goal at home.
Carolina Lucci leads the Blue and White along with the Conference with 12 goals this season. The freshman was named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Sabrina Henderson is second on the team with six points (2g, 2a) along with Mackenzie Imamura with five points (1g, 3a).
Olivia Borer has been solid in goal this season with seven shutouts and a 0.53 goals allowed average. Borer leads the Conference Carolinas in both categories.
BULLDOG BITES
Barton makes the trip with a 4-4-3 overall record and 3-1-3 in league play. The Bulldogs are fourth in the league just one point behind the Hawks.
The Bulldogs are led offensively by Jordyn Brown (6g, 1a), Rebekah Beal (5g, 3a) and Laisy Scardazzi (4g, 5a) each with 13 points.
Haley Sauls for the Bulldogs has allowed 0.82 goals per contest.
Men's Soccer
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
The Hawks are coming off a 2-1 victory against King in league play as Chowan sits with a 6-2-2 overall record and 2-1-2 in Conference Carolinas play. Chowan is 5-0-1 at home this season and ranked #7 in the Southeast Region.
Lee Wattam and Josh Baker lead the way for the Hawks offensively with four goals each. Terell Williamson and Denis Roule have notched three apiece.
BULLDOG BITES
Barton comes into the match with a 2-8-1 overall record and winless in the Conference Carolinas. The Bulldogs are searching for their first win since September 20.
Offensively, Pol Monells leads the team with four goals. Ruben Mancio is second on the team with three goals and three assists.
Volleyball
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan is coming off a back-and-forth battle against Mount Olive on Monday evening in a five set marathon match to move to 8-9 on the season.
Brittany Tschida continues to lead the Hawks offensively with 116 kills. Courtney O'Keefe (95), Makayla Castro (94) and freshman Kayla Gates (93) are closing in on 100 kills.
BULLDOG BITES
Barton is on a nine match win streak and 12-6 overall. The Bulldogs defeated Chowan 3-0 in early September.
Kaytlin Elkins paces the Bulldog offense with 256 kills. Three other Bulldogs have topped the 100 kill mark.
