SPARTANBURG, SC - The Chowan University women's golf team completed the second and final round of play at the Converse Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Hawks finished in sixth place out of the eight teams that competed in the tournament.

USC Beaufort took first place in round two with a team score of 308 on Tuesday and finished in first place in the tournament with a two-day team total of 605. Franzi Knoetsch led the Sand Sharks and finished in first place overall with a two-day total score of 146. Two other golfers from USC Beaufort, Blanca Porta and Moa Kristenson, also finished in the top five individually.

After finishing in eighth place on Monday and carrying over a team score of 346, the Hawks finished on Tuesday with a team score of 342 for a two-day total of 688 to move them up to sixth place. Chowan's
Inecia Rolle shaved three strokes off of Monday's score (85) to finish with a two-day total of 167 putting her tied for 18th place in the 43 player field.Â
Virginia Lane finished in 20th place after round two, having shot an 85 and earning a two-day total of 168.
L'leah Laing turned in an 88 on Tuesday and finished tied for 29th place with a two-day total of 174.
Gaby Rivera-Garcia took five strokes off of her first round score (92) and carded an 87 on the second day of play finishing in 35th place with a two-day total score of 179.
Chelsea Rose of Chowan also competed in the tournament.

Chowan returns to action on September 23rd when they travel to Harrisonburg, Virginia to participate in the Bridgewater Invitational.
