SALISBURY, NC- The Chowan University men's cross country team competed in the Blue Bear Invitational on Friday evening. The Hawks finished in fourth place with a team score of 72. Bluefield State College took home first place with a team score of 40. Saint Augustine's followed in second place with 44 points. Livingstone finished in third place with a team score of 59 on Friday.
Kevin Taylor paced the Hawks with a sixth place finish in the 24-runner field. He crossed the finish line at the 32:27 mark.
George Kattan followed with a time of 33:57, good for an 11
th place finish.
Sadiq Amzat and
Jaylen Gilliam posted times of 39:00 and 39:35, respectively and finished in 20
th and 21
st place.
Johnathan Venable completed in the 8k course in 39:47 and finished in 23
rd place individually.
The Hawks return to action on October 15
th as Chowan travels to compete in the Christopher Newport Invitational.
