MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The Chowan University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon.

Virginia Lane and
Gaby Rivera-Garcia competed for the Hawks at the Lion's Paw Course at Ocean Ridge Plantation.
Lane ended the competition in sixth place in the 90-player field. She carded a 75 for the Chowan Blue and White on Monday and Tuesday for a two-day total of 150. Rivera-Garcia shot an 87 for the Hawks on Monday and followed-up with a 90 on Tuesday. She finished tied for 76
th individually.
Laing ended the tournament in 87
th place. She shot a 100 on Monday and carded a 104 on the final day of play.
Ashlii Thompson of UNC-Pembroke carded a two-round total of 145. She shot a 74 on Monday and carded a 71 on Tuesday to earn individual medalist honors. She edged Franziska Bremm of the University of West Georgia by one-stroke. The Wolves shot a team score of 608 to finish first place in the 16-team field.
The Hawks return to action October 23rd-25th to compete in the Virginia State University Invitational.
