Box Score SHIPPENSBURG, PA- The Chowan University men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback against Shippensburg University on Tuesday afternoon.  The Hawks fall to 7-6-2 on the season with the loss while the Raiders improve to 6-11 on the year.  Tuesday's win snapped a nine-game losing streak for the Raiders. 

Chowan recorded 21 shots over the course of the contest. Terell Williamson led the effort with seven shots for the Hawks.  Lee Wattam tallied four shots followed by Carl Kennedy with three. 

Carlos Ramirez recorded two saves in-goal for the Chowan Blue and White. 

Chowan held Shippensburg to 11 shots on Tuesday.  Colten Arnold, Marc Furfaro, Cole Kropnick, and Patrick Luebben each notched two shots in the victory.  Evan Raimist and Garret Watson combined for 10 saves in-goal for the Raiders. 

Luebben put the Raiders on the board in the 19^th minute, giving Shippensburg an early lead.  After trailing 1-0 heading into halftime, Williamson came through with the equalizer for Chowan in the 76^th minute after scoring an unassisted goal from the top of the box.

The Raiders responded less than ten minutes later when Kropnick found the back of the net on a shot far post from five yards out.  Luebben was credited with the assist on the play.  An own goal by Chowan in the 88^th minute sent secured the 3-1 win for Shippensburg. 

The Hawks return to action on October 29^th as Chowan travels to compete against Columbia International University.  Game time is slate for 4pm.
