Box Score MURFREESBORO- The Chowan University men's soccer team rolled to their third straight win on Monday evening with a 4-0 victory against the visiting Cobras of Coker College. The Hawks advance to 3-0 on the short season while the Cobras slip to 0-1-1 on the year.
The Hawks controlled the momentum throughout the course of the first period. Chowan had 13 shots in the first period, two of which were on goal in comparison to four by the Cobras.
Jason Bradbury and
Ben Chapman each accounted for a shot on goal in the first period while four different Cobra players accounted for four total shots.
Chowan out-shot Coker 26-17 over the course of the competition.
Marco Lujan made six saves in goal, earning his third shutout in as many games. Kyndle Cobb faced 11 shots on goal during the game and made seven saves for the Cobras.
Chowan and Coker battled through the first half but the Hawks' offense came alive after halftime, scoring four goals in the second period to earn the win. In the 59

Terell Williamson, who beat Cobb one-one in the box to find the back of the net.
Williamson notched his second score of the evening in the 74
th minute, this time using help from
Dylan Helm to send the ball near post. The Hawks used the momentum to their advantage just two minutes later when a free kick by
Mike Dowling allowed
Jordan Radisavljevic to find the back of the net and extend Chowan's lead to 3-0.
With less than four minutes remaining in the game,
Paul Kamara entered the contest for the Chowan Blue and White and scored two minutes later using
Barkan Koeprueluegil's assist to send the ball far post from the top of the box.
Chowan returns to action on September 10
th when the Hawks host Pfeiffer University. Match time is slated for 4:00pm on Hawks Field.
